Dr. Tova Rogers MD MFA Board Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Rogers is a Detroit native, a city for which she has unending love and pride. Her meandering route to medicine started at the College for Creative Studies where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in art history. She then received her Master of Fine Arts in sculpture at Cranbrook Academy of Art and was a Fulbright Grant finalist. Her work has been exhibited at regional and national galleries.

After completing her graduate studies, Dr. Rogers went on to pursue her childhood dream to become a physician. She attended Columbia University to study premedical sciences, then received her Medical Doctorate at Tel Aviv University.

During medical school, Dr. Rogers performed research on epidermal barrier function at Tel Aviv Medical Center. She was also selected for a Medical Student Research Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, subsequently receiving an award for her work on early skin cancer detection.

Dr. Rogers has published in many scientific journals and presented her research at national conferences. She graduated medical school at the top of her class, receiving the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.

Dr. Rogers returned to her home town for her internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She completed her Dermatology residency at Emory University where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Rogers’ art training informs her work as a dermatologist and has translated into a passion for dermoscopy, surgery, and cosmetics.

In her *free* time, Dr. Rogers enjoys visiting art galleries and museums with her partner Greg, who trained as a painter at the Rhode Island School of Design. She also enjoys drawing, gardening, and hiking with her dogs, Ida and Flossie.
